Far Out {For you}

top and skirt c/o shop the far out; wedges, trouve; coat, dvf; sunglasses, tom ford

 I was happy to finally see the sun after what seemed like endless days of darkness and snow after the blizzard earlier this week. It was the perfect day to take out my gifted stardust skirt right before New Years Eve. The sequins are a worthy amount of sparkle for the New Years festives. Bring it on New York City. I can't wait to see what is in store for me.

Decisions

top and pants, dvf; wedges, trouve; coat, free people; scarf, gap

 As I mentioned in my previous {post} I was considering moving my blog from Blogger to Wordpress. I decided to stay with Blogger and try to enhance my blog by learning how to use the template, header, etc. I wish there was a crash course in blogging, but please bare with me for the next couple of posts!

 Each day is getting closer and closer to New Years Eve and I get more and more excited to spend it in New York City with my boyfriend and friends. But I am also nervous since we have no reservations or idea on what we want to do.

P.S. - I also have a great giveaway next post!

Trying to Move

{image via aprons & heels}

I'm trying to make the move from blogger to wordpress but don't know if it's the right move for me. I am horrible with formatting and my blog looks simple and clean on Wordpress. I feel like I will loose a lot of my followers though. What do you guys think?

Blizzard Warning

top and sweater, madewell; jeans, juicy couture; shoes, j.renee; braclets, david yurman

 These shoes are my newest addition to my collection thanks to my parents for Christmas. I love how unique and girlie they are, but was upset when one of the bows fell off before I even wore them! I'm not sure if I should return them for another pair or buy another pair all together. Any suggestions?

 There is a huge blizzard warning in the area so I collected my boyfriend, hot chocolate, food, movies, and games to accompany me through the storm. I actually enjoy being snowed in because it forces me to relax and do absolutely nothing.

Ho-Ho Holidays

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday full of laughter, love, and time with your loved ones.

I had the perfect outfit post waiting for me to post and sadly deleted it with no trace. There was no way to recreate the falling snow or my up-do (I rarely have my hair up). I had found these faux-glasses in my sister's closet and thought they were perfect for the holiday season; fun and over-sized. I am looking forward to relaxing and spending time with my family. I feel lucky enough that my boyfriend can also spend the time with my loved ones. I stocked up on all my holidays essentials; hot chocolate, moose munch, and homemade gingerbread men. I can't wait for the wine and late night board games. Not to brag, but I am insanely good at Monopoly.

Lulu's {For you}

 top; c/o lulus; coat, underpinning, hat, & boots, dvf; bag, juicy couture

I was gifted this gorgeous sheer blouse from LuLu's {the company from my previous post} the other day and could not wait to put it on (even in the snowy weather). The over-sized sheer falls perfectly in place and gives the effect that I am wearing some sexy cape. For some reason I was completely drawn to black today. I wore the top for a day of morning coffee and shopping with Joe. I did get some stares from the woman sitting next to me in the coffee shop. I don't know what freaked her out more my goth-like attire or that I took my Invisiline retainers out in front of her. Oops!

I have an early holiday gift for my readers; a coupon code to Lulu's. You can pick up your last presents to other or buy one for yourself - guilt free!

What the coupon code for Lulu's?

Whirlwind

Last week was a complete whirl-wind. I managed to finish my finals, move my boyfriend into his apartment, celebrate his birthday, and come close to finishing my Christmas shopping. This week I am focusing on relaxing and spoiling myself with a spa day full of massages and a mani-pedi and a lot of tinsel and wrapping.
This post is a preview of a coupon code for my readers I did with a company that will be posted on my blog next post. Can you guess what the company is?

Holiday Stroll

Each year Tiffany & Co. creates the perfect image of the holidays that make me want to grab my boyfriend and stroll down the streets happily hand in hand. This advertisement reminded me of the Holiday Stroll that took place in Boston yesterday {minus the snow}. All afternoon each store on Newbury Street had mini holiday treats that ranged from hot chocolate to champagne and mini gifts with purchase for their shoppers. I managed to get all of my holiday shopping done and find some pieces for myself. I cannot believe I am actually done buying for others - this has to be a trick of some sort. Here are the other ads for Tiffany and Co. this season they are so warm and romantic. It makes me want a little blue box for Christmas!

P.S.- I promise an outfit post will come soon!

Winter Blacks

 sweater & leggings, dvf; leg warmers, free people; wedges, trouve; clutch, burberry

Instead of having the winter blues I feel as though I am having the "winter blacks" by living in black pieces. I don't know what is driving me towards the dark pieces but I am loving the outcome of blacks on top on blacks. The uneasy feeling of not enjoying the first New England snow storm may be the reason for this but nonetheless, it is leaving me with outfits I wouldn't usually put together.

{Fashion Show} Second Time Around

on me: tank, j.crew; blazer, dvf; jeans, juicy couture; pumps, trouve; bag, botkier; necklace, ken & dana design

I was lucky enough to be invited to go backstage and view Second Time Around's Fashion Show at the Liberty Hotel. The hotel lobby was full of business people socializing and enjoying appetizers and cocktails. I arrived early with my friend Jess and we sat to have some bites to eat {french fries with aioli and chicken skewers} and cocktails before the show's mayhem began. We then went behind the scenes to see the models and outfit picks of the night. My favorite piece were jeweled Dolce and Gabbana strappy pumps - too bad they weren't my size! I consistantly love Second Time Around's fashion shows because they use couture second hand clothing and accessories that can be purchased after the show. It shows that you don't always have to spend a fortune to look gorgeous!

Staying In

 dress, free people; cardigan, abercrombie; socks, j.crew; flats, juicy couture

The cold weather and wind have been unbearable lately. I choose to only leave my apartment for my daily Starbucks {I am a complete addict}. My drink of choice this winter; a tall mocha latte with whole milk and whipped cream. I cannot wait for the day that I get into the holiday spirit and change over to the peppermint mocha lattes. YUM!

I have been in love with this dress ever since I got it as a gift from my boyfriend (I am really lucky because he usually picks out the best things). The dress has all the makings to be dressy {example} but is perfect for nights you want to be casual but cute.

P.S- I also have some great things for my readers coming up - I cant wait to share them!
