An unbearable heat wave took over the city this weekend. Even though I tried my best to keep hydrated and stay in as much as possible I had to sneak outside for some photos. During the un-breathable heat black was probably not the smartest pieces to wear, but low front made me feel the closest to naked that I could be. The only thing that I like about the heat is that my hair can get as curly as it can while still looking put together. I love when you have an excuse to be all natural - thank you heat!
Tonight, I'm en route to Boston to be with my family for a few days. I am so happy to have some time off to just relax and spend quality time with them!

I'm never really a fan of the element of surprise; my boyfriend can vouge for me. My days are packed with multiple schedules and if something isn't there it isn't happening. Without my schedule my life feels like an utter cluster and complete mess. I'm trying to work on being less organized and enjoying things as they come, but when it comes to clothing surprise can be a good thing.

On The Hunt

With New York City constantly evolving and new neighborhoods trending I feel as though I can't sit still. I've already starting going out on a hunt for a new neighborhood and apartment to call home. I finally think that I found a city that is as crazy and up to speed as me!

The Wedge

 These are the shoes I rewarded myself with for doing a full day of errands in my heels {my latest post}. I purchased these wedges to help expand and grow the height in my shoe closet which is full of flats. They are actually more comfortable than I imagined and I spent another busy day in them. My feet are actually getting used to being in heels and I haven't got much complaints (from them haha). At the grocery store I got so many confusing looks as I was picking up my necessities of milk and eggs to get me through the weekend but, I just couldn't get enough of my new wedges.

For the most part I am a very organized person especially when I travel; I know exactly what outfits I have packed, where I am going, and what I want to see. But, this trip to New York City was different. Since I got home from Madrid my life has felt very busy and hectic so I wanted to take this mini vacation and spend it with my boyfriend. I decided my itinerary would consist of casual shopping and stopping in my favorite places which I missed the most sprinkled with a few meetings and showrooms. Magnolia Bakery is one of the places on that list because each time I go I feel home and the cupcakes just hit the spot. I love grabbing which ever cupcake I am in the mood for and sitting in the park to eat them. 

On my first day I got the pleasure to visit Botkier's NoLita Boutique in Soho. The shop has the perfect amount of pieces and the newest fall items are both gorgeous and a necessity. I could not keep my hands off the newest Ava cross body bag the leather was rich and felt like buttery in my hands. It is definitely the first handbag I am adding to my new fall wardrobe.

For the past couple of weeks I have had one of my best friends in town, my mother. It was so good to have her here again to share everything with & to of course shop. I literally do not remember shopping so much in my whole life. On her last day here we decided to stick with our usual daily routine of shopping. I wore my new leopard shoes which kept me comfortable while giving me some height to feel super sexy while shopping up and down Serrano Street. The weather was past scourching but I had my best friends by my side (my mother, Louis Vuitton, Prada, etc.). It has been an amazing couple of weeks and I will miss her so so much.

Durante el último par de semanas he tenido una de mis mejores amigos en el pueblo, mi madre. Fue tan bueno tenerla aquí de nuevo para compartir todo con y para la tienda por supuesto. En su último día aquí me puse mis zapatos de leopardo nuevo que me mantuvo cómodo mientras me daba cierta altura a sentir super sexy mientras que las compras de arriba a abajo la calle Serrano. El tiempo había pasado scourching pero tuve mis mejores amigos a mi lado (mi madre, Louis Vuitton, Prada, etc.) Ha sido un increíble par de semanas y yo la extraño tanto tanto.

Summer Scarfs & Stripes

A scarf was the perfect accessory today to do my errands when the bright summer sun went in and the rain began to pour. I was hoping the sun was here to stay but it seems like Madrid is looking at another couple of days of rain. I love these pictures because they have a Parisian "city of lights" feel. Even though it is the summer a light scarf can still be an accessory for your look. What is your favorite accessory on a cool rainy day?

Una bufanda fue el día de hoy accesorio perfecto para hacer mis diligencias, cuando el sol brillante del verano entró y la lluvia comenzó a caer. Tenía la esperanza de que el sol había llegado para quedarse, pero parece que Madrid está buscando un par de días de lluvia. Me encantan estas fotos porque tienen un parisino "ciudad de las luces" se siente. A pesar de que el verano es un pañuelo luz todavía puede ser un accesorio a tu look. ¿Cuál es tu accesorio favorito en un día de lluvia fría?

Sequins Sunday

For some reason Sundays are my favorite day of the week. Even though most shops are closed (not Topshop though!) the streets are filled with less people and I get to wander around not feeling like I am in a herd being pushed and bumped into every couple of minutes. My favorite things to do on Sundays are get an iced mocha, sit outside Starbucks, window shop, & catch a movie. With the weather being so hot and it being a casual Sunday afternoon I put together this sequin outfit. I got the vest this winter at H&M and love that it is so versatile! To celebrate with weather getting warmer and to show off my barely-there tan I painted my nails bright blue from H&M's nail polish line. The color is so vibrant and the paint is so smooth.

Por alguna razón, los domingos son mi día preferido de la semana. Aunque la mayoría de las tiendas están cerradas (no Topshop sin embargo!) Las calles se llenan con menos gente y me pongo a pasear por no sentir que estoy en un rebaño de ser empujado y golpeado en cada par de minutos. Mis cosas favoritas para hacer los domingos se recibe un helado de moca y se sienta fuera de Starbucks, una tienda de ventana, y ver una película. Con el tiempo estaba tan caliente y que sea un domingo por la tarde casual que arme este conjunto de lentejuelas. Tengo el chaleco este invierno de H&M y el amor que es tan versátil! Para celebrar con el clima se está calentando y de demostrar mi casi-no tan pinté las uñas de color azul brillante de H&M la línea de esmalte de uñas. El color es tan vibrante y la pintura es tan suave.

 

Hello Summer

I'm happy to say I can finally walk out of my house without a jacket or a slight feeling of being cool. I actually was too hot in my shorts & tunic while eating lunch outside of the Palace Royal but, I am in no place to complain. I will take the warm weather over the cold any day. The warm weather gave me an appetite for spice so I stopped at my favorite Mexican place in Madrid, Sabor a' Mi. The smoothies, cocktails, and spicy food are all made with fresh ingredients which you can taste with your first bite. I cant walk by this restaurant without stopping inside for their mini nachos with guacamole. YUM!

Soy feliz de decir que yo por último puedo salir de mi casa sin una chaqueta o un sentimiento leve de ser fresco. Estuve realmente demasiado caliente en los calzones & túnica al almorzando fuera del Palacio Real pero, estoy en ningún lugar de quejarse. Tomaré el tiempo tibio sobre el frío cualquier día. El tiempo tibio me dio un apetito para la especia tan yo paré en mi lugar mexicano predilecto en Madrid, Sabor un' Mi. Los zalameros, los cócteles, y alimento picante es hecho todo con ingredientes frescos que usted puede probar con su primera mordedura. Puedo andar por este restaurante sin parar dentro para sus nachos minis con guacamol. ¡YUM!

Bank Holiday

I woke up yesterday with one thing on my mind; shopping. So I headed out to the busy streets of Madrid to satisfy my shopping craving. Unfortunately many of the shops and restaurants were closed due to a Bank Holiday. Instead I spent the day wandering the crowded streets of Madrid, sight-seeing, & enjoying my favorite iced mocha. Thank you Bank Holiday for making my Saturday very relaxing and saving my wallet.

Barcelona

Last week my boyfriend and I began our spring break in my new favorite city, Barcelona. For March the weather was slightly warmer and sunnier than I was used to in Madrid. The streets are full of shops and shoppers from places like La Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia street. The Barcelonians and tourists have fabulous "street style" (my term for looking effortless on the street but also put together) and are a bit more dressed up than the people in Madrid. Many girls are not in heels but adorable flats and boots. Most women are trendy with blazers and huge sunglasses. When packing for Barcelona my top 5 essentials are; flats, sunglasses, jeans, a blazer, and tank-tops. With these pieces you will look like a cute Barcelonian for sight-seeing days that turn into dinner and drinks, a walk along Port Vell, or just a day of shopping.

My favorite day at Barcelona was when we shopped up and down Passeig de Gracia street (where you can find every designer from my favorite Gracious to Louis Vuitton), visited Gaudi's amazing works of art, and ate lunch at Casa Calvet. My Barcelona essentials suggestions:
