Morning Light

I love the way the Meatpacking District feels early in the morning. The city is just waking up and feels alive and ready for a new day. This weekend has been crazy with Fashion Week and these Joie shoes are perfect for running around.

On The Hunt

With New York City constantly evolving and new neighborhoods trending I feel as though I can't sit still. I've already starting going out on a hunt for a new neighborhood and apartment to call home. I finally think that I found a city that is as crazy and up to speed as me!

Where Is Spring?

The weather lately has been unbearable and puts me in an outfit rut. The mix of snow and rain leaves me unable to decide if I'm even going to attempt going outside never mind what I will wear. Saying I am ready for spring in an understatement. I welcome it with open arms and my closet does the same. I really envy the west coast bloggers, maybe I should consider taking me and my blog there.
For now my spring desires will be unfilled with Madewell's Spring 2011 Lookbook. The neutrals and oxfords have me drooling. Gimme Gimme Gimme.

Blizzard Warning

These shoes are my newest addition to my collection thanks to my parents for Christmas. I love how unique and girlie they are, but was upset when one of the bows fell off before I even wore them! I'm not sure if I should return them for another pair or buy another pair all together. Any suggestions?

There is a huge blizzard warning in the area so I collected my boyfriend, hot chocolate, food, movies, and games to accompany me through the storm. I actually enjoy being snowed in because it forces me to relax and do absolutely nothing.

TGIF

I rarely wear my hair up and are constantly being pushed by people to take the hair away from my face. I decided to follow their advice and put my hair up more than I usually do. I get a little bit uncomfortable with it up (especially in photos) but soon I hope to get used to it and try new styles. Next; the top knot. The skirt {seen here} has been hanging in my closet and I am dieing to wear it on New Years Eve while I watch the ball drop.

I cannot express how happy I am that Friday as finally come. Even though the week went by fast I have had countless amounts of work to do. I am looking forward to taking the time to enjoy my weekend up to my boyfriend's standards which are; not getting out of bed before 11:00 am, staying in my sweats all day, relaxing, and staying in with movies and wine.

No Intro Needed

I finally got my Jeffrey Campbell Litas {I have been waiting forever} and they were definitely worth the wait. The rumors are true, they are the most comfortable heels I own at such a soaring height. Once I saw them I had to have them. They are also the last pair I will be buying this month since I am not shopping for all of November - well, i'll try at least. I have so many pieces in my closet and want to wear them to the fullest by mixing and matching. My countdown to shop again starts today (only 24 more days left).

P.S - I have an amazing giveaway coming up I am so excited for it

Over-sized

As the weather gets colder I feel myself getting lazier and lazier. The only thing I want to do is lay in bed watching re-runs of Sex and The City while my boyfriend cooks his delicious homemade dinners. The one thing I will get out of bed for is to shop. But since it is a new month and the holidays are approaching, I made a promise to myself not to splurge on anything (my mother would be so proud). One of my last purchases was this over-sized jacket from Madewell. It's easy to throw on, matches with almost everything and keeps me warm (it's so big I love it).

Velvet Days

When I first heard of Alexa Chung's collaboration with Madewell I was both excited and nervous (for my wallet). Since she has been on the scene I always admired both her hair and style which she has imported from her hometown of England. Her line is made of peter pan collars, heavy yet structured coats, and fall shorts. As soon as I touched her pindot velvet blouse I fell in love with the fabric and knew it was a piece I needed on a cold winter day with a hot chocolate in my hand by the fireplace.
