Since I recently became a New Yorker I still enjoy doing tourist activities. This past weekend I took Joe to my some of my favorite and daily spots which included Union Square and the High Line. We found new coffee shops and indulged in buttery steaks. For our city adventure I wore this tie-dyed dress (also seen here) for a comfy and casual look. Summer pieces are so easy to change it only takes one new accessory or sandal and voila a new look.

Melting. The sun has been scorching for the past week hitting over 100 degree Fahrenheit. It leaves for an unpleasant summer day and hot summer nights. I'm ready for a cool front to come in and save me from the heat. 

Hold onto summer

Another attempt of holding onto my summer pieces a little bit longer. See my summer version of this dress here. I just hate to put them away for the season, not yet at least.

Clean & Simple

The summer reminds me of crisp whites and simple but clean pieces. I love throwing on sun dresses with small details to lounge around the house or run errands. When the summer can be so simple why not dress the part?

El verano me recuerda la de los blancos suaves y sencillos pero limpios piezas. Me encanta tirar en los vestidos de sol con pequeños detalles a la sala de la casa o hacer mandados. Cuando el verano puede ser tan sencillo ¿por qué no vestirse para la ocasión?

Coffee Days

Saying I am addicted to coffee is an understatement. At times I really don't know what I would do with it.

 

Decir que soy una adicta al café es una subestimación. A veces realmente no sé lo que harían con ella.

Not your typical Su-Shi

I truly love summer and it's simplicity. The most perfect day outfits are always the most casual and clean which I prefer any summer day. I put together this simple outfit grabbed my new and grabbed my most adored Su-Shi bag. I have been waiting for this bag to arrive at my door steps for days now but the wait was completely worth it!  It is beautiful with a gorgeous old school vintage feel. 

Me encanta el verano y es la simplicidad. Los trajes de día más perfectos son siempre los más casual y limpio, que prefiero cualquier día de verano. Armé este equipo agarró mi nuevo sencillo y agarró mi bolso Su-Shi más adorada. He estado esperando esta bolsa para llegar a la puerta mis pasos desde hace días, pero la espera valió la pena totalmente! Es hermoso, con una magnífica cosecha vieja escuela se siente.

Summer School

The first day of classes is like a blind date. You never know what to expect, how to dress, and who will be there waiting for you. I would always get nervous and anxious about how I should dress for the first day of class but now with that behind me I can care more about my classes (and how nice the beach will be after class). I added my favorite skinny jeans and a perfect fitting cardigan over my loose tank-top to give a casual look to my outfit. The outcome; approachable and willing to grab a coffee after class if there are any takers!

Tights Please

I have to admit I usually hate tights under anything but occasional skirts and dresses. But, with the weather not getting warm quick enough tights is the perfect way to show off your legs in a seasonal way. Dieing for the summer to come I paired my tights with shorts & a sweatshirt embellished in the shoulders. It was the perfect mix between summer and "im not trying too hard." Truthfully, I cannot wait to bare my legs in the warm summer sun!
